Language, culture classes offered
Youngstown
Beginning in June Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista ave., will offer language and culture classes from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursdays.

Fortnightly IV to tour house
HUBBARD
Hubbard Fortnightly IV will meet at 7 p.m. (note change in time) Thursday for a tour of the historical McBride House on Hager Street.
Following the tour the group will have dessert at Frankie’s Main Street Cafe, where officers will be installed.
Church to welcome fundraising bikers
BOARDMAN
Hopkins 4-K for Cancer, a nonprofit group of 28 bicyclists, is traveling 4,000 miles from Baltimore to San Francisco to raise awareness for cancer research.
The group will be welcomed at approximately 3 p.m. June 3 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, where snacks will be provided followed by a potluck dinner at 6:30.
The church also will provide overnight accommodations and an early breakfast for the cyclists before they leave on June 4 for Cleveland.
Lions donate funds to reading service
WARREN
Mike Bosela was the guest speaker at the noon meeting of Warren Lions Club on May 18 at The Reef, 5000 E. Market St.
Bosela is the coordinator for Youngstown Radio Reading Service, which covers five counties, providing daily readings of local newspapers and other printed materials for the blind and vision-impaired.
Approximately 100 volunteers provide the broadcasts from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays on WYSU-FM2, Youngstown. Each listener is given a special radio receiver at no cost.
The Warren Club donated $1,000 to assist the service in purchasing receivers and other equipment.
