Vietnam veterans memorial set for Sunday in Sharon, Pa.

SHARON, Pa. — The Mercer County, Pa., Vietnam Era Veterans Association is conducting its 15th annual Mercer County “Remembrance and Reflections” Memorial at 2 p.m. Sunday on the east side of the Mercer County Courthouse next to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The ceremony honors Mercer County residents killed and missing in action in the Vietnam War.

Family and friends of those being honored as well as the general public and members of veterans organizations are invited to be part of the event.

As part of the ceremony, each name will be called and a rose placed at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This year, the ceremony will include those who died in the War on Terrorism. The main speaker is Army Col. (retired) Gary Solander, who is director of Mercer County Veterans Affairs.
