Pan-Oston’s Utopia Across America Traveling Innovation Center touched down in Poland April 27.

The Innovation Center, located inside a large bus, showcased the latest technology in self-checkout services. Pan-Oston met with H.P. Nemenz Food Store representatives to discuss the importance and possible implementation of self-checkout lanes.

Jeff Geron, Pan-Oston representative, said these lanes are imperative to the overall customer’s satisfaction.

“Twenty percent of customers say they won’t shop with you if you don’t offer a self-service,” he said.

H.P. Nemenz corporation owns 18 Save a Lot and three IGA grocery stores.
