First Night Canfield lining up sponsors for 2011 event

For First Night Canfield, the show will go on.

The Canfield Township Trustees and Canfield City Council have pledged their support for the 2011 event.

“First Night Canfield has maintained an excellent reputation by supporting our community’s needs by providing a wholesome, non-alcohol oriented event and being the only First Night event in the U.S. to allow kids 18 and under in for free,” said Director Suzanne Heino.

“It is crucial for us to maintain those standards while organizing this event. Support from the area is vital, from volunteers to funding, it is all a part of the effort.”

Already pledging sponsorship for the 2011 event are Home Savings Bank, Rotary Club of Canfield, Ohio Arts Council, Dunaway, Inc., McCamon Hunt Insurance Agency, Dr. Larry Gessner and State Farm Insurance — Tom Danko and Jan Cefalu.
