Boy, 13, dies in ATV crash

ALLENPORT, Pa. (AP) — A 13-year-old boy has died after losing control of his all-terrain vehicle in western Pennsylvania.

State police say the crash happened Thursday afternoon in Allenport, about 25 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Police say Michael Keegan of Allenport was traveling fast on the ATV and failed to negotiate a curve, hitting a guard rail.

Police say the ATV rolled and Keegan hit a tree. Keegan was not wearing a helmet.

The boy was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
