Boardman hosts health care career workshop

Residents looking for a career in health care visited Boardman Park May 13 for its Health Care Career Workshop.

The workshop was a collaboration between the Northeast Ohio HealthForce and Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties’ One Stop. It was held in the Lariccia Family Community Center and open to the public.

The workshop provided anecdotes from those in the medical field and information on the various career paths available.

Workshop participants received information on jobs such as a pharmaceutical technician, medical technician, medical billing specialist and medical records specialist. Following the workshop, vendors gave information on educational and financial aid opportunities.
