MALIBU, Calif.

Michael Thomas Telega and Melodie Fair Metzger were united in marriage on April 25 in a ceremony that took place outdoors overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu.

Officiating at the ceremony was Major Warren Cook Jr.

The bride, a daughter of Bonnie M. Mullee of Las Vegas and the late Carl F. Metzger, was given in marriage by her brother Jeffery A. Metzger of Las Vegas.

The groom is a son of Bernadette Harry of Hermitage, Pa., and Thomas J. Telega of Tampa, Fla.

Among those witnessing the ceremony were the groom’s stepfather, Raymond Harry; his brother, Joe Telega of Hermitage; his sisters, Lisa Beall of Medina and Tracy Filisky of New Middletown; and his niece, Chelsea Telega of New Middletown, who created the wedding cake.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on a self-sustained bicycle tour around Catalina Island.

Mrs. Telega, a research scientist, graduated from the University of California in San Francisco with a doctorate in bioengineering. The groom is employed in sales. They live in Santa Monica, Calif.
