Fredericka won two matches on Wednesday, defeating Scott Winer of Beachwood, 6-1, 6-1, and James Meyer of Rocky River, 6-0, 6-3.

He will play Alex Aleman of CVCA in the semifinals. Colin Bernier of Canton Central Catholic and Sam Ubersax of Orange are the other semifinalists.

Poland’s Ben Brocker remains in contention for a state tournament berth. He won his first match, 6-0, 6-1, over Kevin Baldwin of Orrville, before losing to Ubersax, 6-0, 6-1.
