Police: Teen robbed same bank twice in 10 days
BLAIN, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania teen is behind bars after police say he robbed the same bank twice in 10 days.
State police say 19-year-old Dylan Schoppy, of Newport, brandished a handgun while robbing a bank May 7 in Blain, about 35 miles west of Harrisburg. They say he was back at the bank on Monday and flashed a knife while demanding money.
Authorities say witnesses recognized the robber using the same vehicle in both incidents and recorded the license plate number. Schoppy was arrested a short time later.
Schoppy was arraigned Monday and remains jailed in Perry County Prison on $100,000 bail.
