Western Reserve wins 10-0

John Gora pitched a five-inning one-hitter and added a pair of singles to lead Western Reserve over Windham, 10-0, on Sunday in a Division IV sectional baseball tournament game.

Gora (5-2) struck out 10 and walked only two batters as the Blue Devils advanced to a district semifinal on Thursday against Mapleton in Akron.

John Rosati hit a pair doubles and scored three runs for Western Reserve, which improved to 17-8.

Eric Kennehan added two hits and three RBIs, and he scored twice.

Gora also scored two runs for the Blue Devils.

Windham’s record fell to 1-16 with the loss.
