FAST facts | YSU Spring Commencement

More than 1,000 degrees awarded during Saturday’s commencement ceremonies.

Associate degrees: 171, including 21 with honors and 18 with high honors.

Bachelor’s degrees: 856.

Cum laude (with honors): 104

Magna cum laude (with high honors): 99

Summa cum laude (with highest honors): 111

Eight graduating seniors received the YSU Pin Award, a prestigious honor given since 1948 to honor outstanding, well-rounded graduating seniors. They were: Zachary Brown, Daniel DeMaiolo, Derek DiMaiolo, Jennifer Edwards, Amanda Foster, Wilson Okello, Mason Shattuck and Lora Werkmeister.

A separate commencement ceremony took place Saturday for YSU graduate students earning degrees.
