Ceramics museum invites collectors

Staff report

EAST LIVERPOOL

The Museum of Ceramics, 400 E. Fifth St., will host Collectors’ Choice from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. May 29.

It’s an event that will appeal to ceramics collectors, family historians and anyone who is interested in the area’s ceramics heritage.

Attendees can bring items of area ceramics ware and talk about the history of each piece.

Those who do not collect ceramics can learn about the collections of others.

Anyone interested in learning more about their favorite pieces are asked to contact the museum staff ahead of time.

The staff will attempt to answer questions about the age of the pieces, as well as providing more information about the potteries involved.

Collectors’ Choice is included with the price of admission ($4 adults, $2 students; free for museum members).

Seating is limited; to reserve a seat, call (800) 600-7180.

To become a museum member, stop in, call or go to TheMuseumOfCeramics.org.
