LOS ANGELES
Three ABC pilots have been ordered to series for the next TV season: “Generation Y,” “The Whole Truth,” and “Detroit 1-8-7.”
“Detroit 1-8-7,” formerly known as “187 Detroit,” follows Detroit’s top homicide division through the eyes of a fictitious documentary crew. It stars Michael Imperioli (“The Sopranos”).
“Generation Y” is a documentary-style dramedy that follows a group of high school classmates, tracking their paths over the last 10 years and the events that helped shape their lives.
“The Whole Truth” shows both the defense and prosecution sides equally and keeps the audience guessing until the final scene.
The cast, so far, includes Joely Richardson and Rob Morrow.
Also at ABC, good news for the Visitors and for The People Who Love Them: “V” will return for a second season.
“FlashForward,” and “Better Off Ted” have been canceled.
Although the network is not officially announcing it, “Scrubs” is gone, no matter what you read elsewhere. Also gone: “Romantically Challenged,” which, honestly, we forgot all about.
