Holy Family School’s pre-kindergartners and transitional kindergartners got a few cooking lessons May 4 and May 7 at The Culinary Arts Center in Boardman. Each year, the school sponsors an event for Mother’s Day. Usually, it’s a concert, but this year it wanted to do something different.
Students and mothers made pasta, pizza and brownies for lunch. They also learned about fruits, vegetables and how they grow. A small garden was given to the classes by the arts center for their classroom.
