2 people on railroad tracks killed by train in Barberton

BARBERTON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say two people have been killed by a train on tracks near a road crossing in northeast Ohio.

Investigator Gary Guenther with the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office says the 45-year-old woman and 53-year-old man were fatally struck just after 10 p.m. Thursday in Barberton.

It’s not clear why the two were on the tracks. Names have not been released.
