Warren Harding 5, Boardman 0
WARREN
Jordan Miller knocked in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the four-run fifth inning for Harding (18-6). Preceding Miller’s hit — the only hit out of the infield for the day — were two bunt singles and an infield single that scored a run. Boardman left 10 runners on base. Boardman sophomore Dan Popio had the game’s only extra-base hit, a leadoff double in the third. Boardman threatened several times, including the third inning when the Spartans had bases loaded with no outs. Popio also had a single and Dustin Corso had a two singles for Boardman (8-15).

Mooney 7, Niles 1
STRUTHERS
Boo Vazquez went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Ed Reese had a double and triple and an RBI and Mark Warchol (8-0) pitched a four-hitter for the Cardinals (18-6). Allen Hayes had a hit for Niles (14-14).
Ravenna 15, Salem 5
RAVENNA
Alex Winnery had two hits and scored a run and Nick Lesky had two hits and an RBI for Salem (7-15), which fell behind 6-0 after one inning. Jordan Baker had three hits and two RBIs for Ravenna (16-8).
Division III
Girard 11, United 5
GIRARD
Junior Brandon Hunkus had a bases-loaded triple in the eight-run second inning. Hunkus had three RBIs, senior Michael Floravit had two singles and two RBIs, junior Dante DelBene had three singles and senior Joe Cavalier had a two-run triple for Girard (20-6). Joe Augustine (4-2) got the win. Creer and Powell had two hits apiece and Sneltzer had a double and two RBIs for United. One of Powell’s hits was a two-run home run.
Ursuline 9, Campbell 5
STRUTHERS
Freshman Sam Donko pitched a complete game, struck out seven and walked one for Ursuline. Dave Rossi had a two-out, two-run single for the Irish to break the game open in the sixth. Rossi, Anthony Rohan and Paul Kempe finished with two hits apiece. Raul Pizarro had three hits including a double, while Anthony Clinkscale had two hits for Campbell. Ursuline plays at Girard in the sectional final.
Lakeview 5, Newton Falls 4
NEWTON FALLS
With the game tied 4-4 in the top of the seventh, Kevin Arnold hit a leadoff double, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by A.J. Hrusovsky and scored the game-winner a sacrifice fly by Shane O’Connor. Derren Hamilton and Arnold each had two hits for the Bulldogs (9-16), who will play at Burton Berkshire at 4:30 p.m. today. Matt Lubonovic had three hits, including a double, for the Tigers.
Grand Valley 6, Py Valley 5
ANDOVER
Trenton Doing’s catch of a pop-up with a runner on third base ended the game for Grand Valley. The senior catcher’s putout stopped a threat that resulted in one run in the top of the seventh for Pymatuning Valley. Curtis Housel had a single and two RBIs, Doing had a single and RBI, Adam Moodt had a single and scored two runs, A.J. Henson had a single and scored a run and R.J. Riley had a single and scored once for Grand Valley (13-13). Travis Kume had a double and single, Max Thurber had a double and scored twice, Kiser had two hits and scored twice and A.J. Kovach doubled for Pymatuning Valley. Grand Valley plays at Middlefield Cardinal today in a sectional final.
