Miss VanLancker to wed Mr. Pai in July ceremony

POLAND

The engagement of Janine VanLancker and Ajit Pai, both of Arlington, Va., is announced by Robert and Marianne VanLancker of Poland, parents of the bride-elect.

The future groom is a son of Varadaraj and Radha Pai of Parsons, Kan.

Miss VanLancker graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., with a bachelor’s degree and from Northwestern University in Chicago with a doctor of medicine degree. She is an assistant professor of medicine at George Washington University in Washington.

Mr. Pai is a lawyer with the Federal Communications Commission in the office of federal counsel in Washington. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and his juris doctorate at the University of Chicago.

Invitations will be issued for the wedding the couple have planned for 6 p.m. July 10 at Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington and for their reception immediately after the ceremony.
