Kiwanians hear talk on TWIG program

During a recent meeting of Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County, Carol Sankovic of Canfield spoke of the TWIG program and its effect on hospitalized children in the Akron Hospital System. She explained TWIG is an acronym for Together With Important Goals.

Kiwanians will collect crayons, coloring books, markers and activity books during the month of May and donate them to TWIG.

The club was invited to be on hand for a visit by Kiwanis International president Paul Palazzolo on Saturday at Bexler Auditorium on the campus of Walsh University in North Canton.

A Tuesday program featuring coach Jimmy Hamilton and members of Canfield Speech Team has been scheduled, along with a May 26 board meeting.
