Beachy-Bauman engagement is announced

Announced by Debbie and Bob Beachy of Boardman is the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Beachy, and David Bauman Jr., both of Springfield, Mo.

The future groom is a son of Jeanne B. Swaskoski of Sarver, Pa., and the late David Bauman Sr.

The bride-elect graduated from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in mental health counseling. She is a doctoral student at the Professional School of Psychology at the Forest Institute in Springfield, where she is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology.

Her fianc earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Albany-SUNY, Albany, N.Y., and a master’s in mental health counseling at Geneva College. He is pursuing a doctorate in general clinical psychology at the Professional School of Psychology.

The couple have planned a destination wedding for 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica, where a reception will follow the ceremony.
