A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

May 8

Assault: A 15-year-old boy and a friend reported having been assaulted during a fight at a Boardman- Poland Road business.

Vandalism: A disruptive customer damaged an Ohio Lottery scanner and a decorative glass at a Boardman- Canfield Road restaurant.

Theft: A $20 bottle of lotion was stolen from Tan Fastic, 813 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Two $50 model kits were stolen from Hobby Lobby USA, 105 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Domestic violence: Sean P. Wagner, 33, of 127 Shields Road, Boardman, faced two counts of domestic violence after his girlfriend alleged that during an argument, Wagner kicked her in the stomach, then pushed and punched her. Wagner also picked up the accuser’s young daughter and threw her several feet as she blocked a door to prevent him from fleeing, a report said.

Theft: Sara A. Wilson, 3532 Nielson Ave., Youngstown, was charged with stealing 11 articles of clothing valued at a total of $104 from Burlington Coat Factory, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A 15-year-old New Middletown girl was cited and released to the custody of her mother after being accused of stealing a three-pack of earrings, a T-shirt and a wallet from Spencer Gifts in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Shelly E. Nagy, 42, of 2138 Moravia St., New Castle, Pa., was charged in the theft of a pair of pants and a bottle of perfume from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.

Breaking and entering: A door hinge was damaged when someone broke into a building in the 20 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Domestic violence: Surgeo McMullin, 21, of 114 Chicago Ave., Youngstown, was charged after his girlfriend, of Willow Drive, alleged he had slapped her face, grabbed her wrists and pushed her in the township. The accuser complained of neck pain.

Attempted theft: Three people tried to steal numerous breast-pump machines from Babies “R” Us, The Baby Super Store, 1240 Doral Drive.

Theft: Police charged Jessica A. Saulsberry, 22, of 1546 Cedar Lane, Youngstown, with theft. Police said she took four pieces of women’s clothing from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

May 9

Theft: A woman’s purse was removed from a vehicle in the 5500 block of Sheridan Road.

Aggravated menacing: A Firnley Avenue man told police a driver made threats, then pulled out what he believed was a firearm as he asked the driver to stop turning around in the accuser’s driveway.

Theft: Kristen L. Dota, 44, of 46 Leighton Ave., Boardman, and a 10-year-old township girl faced charges after shoes and clothing were stolen from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Old Shay Drive woman said her son used her 1998 Isuzu without permission.

Theft: Two women stole two packages of socks from Dollar General, 271 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s windshield was shattered in the 400 block of Mathews Road.

May 10

Theft: Someone broke into a car at a Market Street dealership and removed a stereo system and two speakers.

Auto theft: A 1993 Ford Ranger was stolen from Donnell Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, 7955 Market St.

Theft: Two Boardman girls, 14 and 15, were charged with stealing $298 worth of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.

Domestic violence: Police charged 77-year-old Alex Gutierrez Jr., 44 Gertrude Ave., Boardman, after his wife reported having been assaulted and sought medical attention for an injury to her right forearm.

Theft: Sasha M. Backus, 22, and 23-year-old Sheena L. Backus, both of Rootstown, faced charges after 33 articles of clothing were stolen from Sears, costing the store about $710.

Criminal mischief: Someone tossed feces on a vehicle in the 200 block of Argyle Avenue.

Assault/criminal damaging: A township woman told authorities her son had been punched about 25 times and had his bicycle damaged.

Recovered property: Police found a 2005 Hyundai Sonata near Oakridge Avenue that had been used without the owner’s consent.

Theft: A Buchanan Drive man discovered a $488 unauthorized deduction to his debit account.

Robbery: A woman reported a man grabbed her from behind as she approached her vehicle at a South Avenue store. She had scratches and other minor injuries.

Theft: A Mayfield Drive man noticed $567 had been removed from his checking account.

Harassment: A Brookwood Road woman reported receiving unwanted calls.

Criminal damaging: A key was used to cause an estimated $2,300 of damage to a car’s finish in the 7000 block of West Boulevard.

Theft: Video surveillance caught a male and a female stealing numerous DVDs and two legs of lamb from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 7400 block of South Avenue had its finish damaged by a key and had eggs tossed at it.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered Discover My World Inc., 5353 South Ave., through a rear door before taking an undisclosed sum of money.

May 11

Drug paraphernalia: John M. Russo, 22, of 6626 Harrington Ave., Boardman, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop when, police said, a small bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found.
