Jurors have been seated for the retrial of an Ohio man accused of drowning his wife in the bathtub of their home.
The jury selected Tuesday is scheduled to tour the home where 24-year-old Sarah Widmer died in August 2008. They are also scheduled to hear lawyers’ opening statements Wednesday.
Ryan Widmer is accused of killing his wife at the couple’s home near Mason, northeast of Cincinnati.
Widmer was convicted in April 2009 of killing his wife, but the conviction was set aside by a judge after allegations of juror misconduct during deliberations.
If convicted, the 29-year-old Widmer faces a prison term of 15 years to life.
