YOUNGSTOWN
Annette M. Giancola, who was found innocent by reason of insanity in the 1997 bathtub drowning deaths of her twin 3-year-old son and daughter in their Canfield Township residence, has died of cancer at age 50.
Giancola, who was in a psychiatric hospital until May 2004, had lived since then in Youngstown, first in a group home and later in a private residence under court supervision. Her death Saturday was noted in a Tuesday judgment entry from Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court that officially closed Giancola’s case.

BOARDMAN
Township police arrested a 14-year-old boy charged with aggravated menacing, accused of pulling a gun on a man last month on Newport Drive.
The boy, who lives on Glenwood Avenue, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Center Middle School where he is a student. He was taken to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.
On April 13, a couple told police they were walking their dogs in their neighborhood about 8 p.m. when they were approached by a group of four young men. One of the boys pulled out a gun and placed it to the head of the man.
Faucets to be shut off
HUBBARD
The board of trustees of Hubbard Union Cemetery reminds people using the outside faucets around the cemetery to make certain they shut them off completely. Trustees also were notified that some people are filling containers with water and taking containers out of the cemetery. Anyone observing this is asked to get the car-license number and notify the office. If problems continue, faucets will be turned off.
