CANFIELD CITY
April 28
Drug abuse/possession: Police arrested Bradly Faulk, 18, 6534 Struthers Road, Poland, on a charge of possession of Klonopin without a prescription at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.
Making false alarms: Police arrested a male juvenile student at Canfield High school for pulling an alarm at the school with no reason.
Identity theft: A resident of the 2000 block of Fairview reported someone else was using his Social Security number.
May 1
Drug abuse: Police arrested Lindsey Ramdin, 24, 35 Willlow Bend, Canfield, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 3
Drug abuse: Police arrested Joseph McCoy, 27, 292 Broad Street, Struthers, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 4
Unauthorized transfer of funds: A Hilltop Boulevard resident reported that someone had acquired her name and Social Security number and was withdrawing money from her bank accounts and also opening various credit-card accounts.
May 5
Drug instruments: Police arrested Samantha Maxwell, 24, 2477 S. Duck Creek, North Jackson, on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments.
May 6
Stolen/damaged property: A 5-gallon gas tank and a Ford tailgate were taken from a truck parked at Wertz Towing, 10 E. Main St.
AUSTINTOWN
May 3
Weapons offense: Police arrested two women on weapons and drug charges at state Route 46 and New Road. Vienna Durst, 33, 2270 Oak Street, Warren, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol, drug abuse of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and having a weapon while under disability; and Jessica Durst, 20, same address, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
Criminal damaging: Spray-paint damage to the restroom was reported at the 911 Memorial Park, 1055 S. Raccoon Road.
Aggravated menacing: A man was a victim of menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive.
Theft: Nine decorative U.S. flags were stolen from the front yard of a home in the 4000 block of Maureen Drive.
Theft: A Tao Tao four-wheeler was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 300 block of N. Roanoke Ave.
Criminal damaging: A glass window was broken out at the front of Webb Supply, 3705 Oakwood Ave.
Theft: $1,100 was stolen from a First Place Bank automated-teller machine, 4520 New Road.
Warrant: Britney McLain, 23, 1317 Bexley Drive, Austintown, was arrested on two warrants on charges of burglary and domestic violence at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.
Theft: A dealer plate was reported stolen at S&C Auto, 3733 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Miscellaneous coins were reported stolen from an auto at a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.
May 4
Warrant: Michelle Benner, 29, 2062 New Drive, S. W., Warren, was arrested on two warrants charging prostitution and handed over by Beaver Township police to local police.
Drug offense: Police arrested Charice L. Bennett, 44, 133 Lafayette, Youngstown, on a charge of drug abuse of cocaine at Interstate 680 and Meridian Road.
Breaking and entering: An unattached garage was broken into in the 2000 block of N. Edgehill Ave. and taken were a handgun, a car stereo and compact discs.
Fraud: A charge was made to a bank account at a home in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Identity theft: An Ohio Edison account was opened in the victim’s name at a home in the 1000 block of Westminster Avenue.
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls were made by a male suspect to Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Road.
Warrant: James Burnett, 21, 35 S. Osborn, Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant on a probation violation on an original charge of complicity and failure to appear in the 1000 block of S. Edgehill Ave.
Unauthorized display of law- enforcement placard: Police issued a summons to Daniel E. Murray, 6751 Meander Drive, Austintown, for the unlawful display of a law- enforcement emblem since he is no longer employed by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department and had a sheriff placard on his vehicle.
Warrant: Police arrested Nicole R. Brown, 22, 7946 Wayland Ave, Kinsman, after she turned herself in on five warrants including charges of sex for hire and drug abuse.
May 5
Warrant: Amber Sexton, 20, 7078 White Oak Drive, Hubbard, was arrested at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road on a warrant charging sexual activity for hire.
Disorderly conduct: Sylvestry and Sylvester Gibbs, both 19, of 149 Aldrich Drive were issued summonses for disorderly conduct at their home.
Menacing: A woman is accused of menacing at an apartment in the 4000 block Westchester Drive.
Breaking and entering: Robert M. Coriston Jr., 27, and Britney R. McClain, 23, both of 1317 Bexley Drive, Austintown, were arrested on charges of breaking and entering at a vacant house in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive. Taken were a door frame and copper pipe.
Theft: Potting soil was taken from Big Lots, 4341 Kirk Road.
Theft: Aluminum was taken from a home in the 80 block of N. Main Street.
Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of menacing at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Burglary: A television and furniture were stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.
May 6
Theft: Police arrested Marcella Hankins, 41, 614 N. First Street, Dennison, Ohio, in the theft of $171.74 in merchandise at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Four vehicle tires were slashed at a home in the 2000 block of N. Main Street.
Assault: A victim was beaten over a $50 debt at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.
Lost license plates: Several dealer plates were lost at an undetermined location.
May 7
Warrant: Frank G. Emerson. Jr., 34, 3670 Valmarie Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant charging criminal simulation at New Road and Edinburgh Drive.
Theft: Jewelry and collector bills were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Timber Lane.
Theft: A computer was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of N. Roanoke Ave.
Warrant: Yvette M. Piette, 32, 2632 Oakwood, Austintown was arrested on a warrant charging assault at Barkley Avenue and state Route 46.
Fraud: A cash withdrawal was made from an account at a home in the 500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Theft: A wallet was stolen at Handyman Hardware, 4351 Kirk Road.
Burglary: Several items were taken from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Drug offense: Charges are pending for a juvenile male who also was issued a summons for curfew violation at Orkney and Burkey roads.
May 8
Warrant: Ronnie L. Evans, 55, 111 S. Zone Highway, Martin’s Ferry, Ohio, was arrested on two felony warrants charging attempt to assault a police officer and resisting arrest at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Danielle Hyland,19, 915 Kirwan Drive, Austintown, was issued a summons for theft at Walmart.
Theft: Two juveniles were apprehended in the theft of $30 worth of makeup at Walmart.
Theft: A clerk was short-changed out of $110 at the B.P. gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Menacing: A neighbor was threatening a resident at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
May 9
Warrant: Jasmin A. Roque, 30, 183 Maywood Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a warrant charging prostitution at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken at a home in the 300 block of N. Roanoke Avenue.
Drug offense: Tasha L. Johnson, 31, homeless, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe, in the 5300 block of Seventy-Six Drive.
Recovered property: Visa, health and library cards and other miscellaneous cards were dropped off at the Austintown police station.
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were made by a female at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a juvenile male on a domestic-violence charge at his home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.
Attempted breaking and entering: An unsuccessful attempt to enter a shed was made at a home in the 6000 block of Country Ridge Drive.
