Dad to face charges after girl found in road

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area man will face charges after his 4-year-old daughter was found wandering in traffic on a divided highway.

Police in Ross Township say 36-year-old Laurien Sibomana will face child endangerment charges after his daughter was discovered walking down the middle of a busy roadway on Monday.

Investigators say two motorists spotted the child and pulled over. One of the drivers moved the girl into the school bus he was driving until police arrived.

Police say Sibomana told them he’d fallen asleep and the girl wandered out of their apartment.

Ross police Sgt. William Barrett says Sibomana will face either misdemeanor or felony charges depending on the results of an investigation.
