Mothers of Twins Club honors member at dinner

Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club chose Christine Ruminski of New Middletown as its “2010 Mother of the Year” during a dinner recently at Drake’s Landing. She will represent the club June 25 and 26 at the state convention of the Ohio Federation of Mothers of Twins Cubs in Emerald Valley, where a state Mother of the Year will be chosen.
A member of the local organization for 29 years, Ruminski has served on numerous committees, including social, ways and means, hostess, scholarship and children activities.
Ruminski and her husband of 34 years, are the parents of a daughter and twin sons, and have two grandchildren. She has been employed 29 years at Brentwood Originals, where she is a supervisor overseeing sewing production.
A member of St. Stanislaus Church, the honoree has served as a Sunday lector, choir member, kitchen worker and church welfare officer. She represents the church at anti-abortion activities such as the March for Life annually in Washington, and is involved in the CWVA Ladies Auxiliary Post 1222.
