Free ‘Green Saturday’ at Womancare Center

The public is invited to a free “Green Saturday” from 8 a.m. to noon May 22 at Womancare Center, 875 N. Hermitage Road.

Registration at 7:30 a.m. will be followed by a continental breakfast and free onsite childcare.

Presentations are as follows:

8 to 9 a.m.: “Container Gardening: Beyond the Basics,” with Shannon McConnell and Ryen Roberts of Cottage Gardens.

9:30-10:30 a.m.: “Kid-Friendly Nature Activities and Healthy Snacks,” with Julie Ferringer of McKeever Environmental Learning Center.

11 a.m. to noon: “Baby Steps to Green Parenting,” with Judith Focreta of Magee Womens Hospital.
