Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will have a Founders Day celebration May 20 at Lodge 66 Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road. There will be an 11 a.m. Mass followed by a buffet dinner at noon. Girard Senior Citizens Club has canceled the meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
K.C.-Ettes of Poland will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fireplace Restaurant for installation of Eileen Zornack as president; Doris Varday, vice president; Harriet Budny, treasurer; and Carolyn Bryson, secretary. Cards will be played.
There will be an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Church after which the Golden Pillars will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Hall, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Eleanor Hnat will preside, and the mother of the year, Helen Leshnak, will be presented. Lunch will be served, and members are reminded to take their own place settings. Bingo and cards will be played.
J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman. A June picnic will be planned.
Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Ted Conner will give the devotions, and members will leave at noon for a spring lunch at Yankee Kitchen.
