Leadership training meeting scheduled

The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods (ACTION) will have a leadership meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Church, focused on a theme of metropolitan equity.

Participants will be trained on establishing core teams, conducting one-on-one interviews and identifying community issues.

Projects needed for job opportunities

COLUMBUS

The Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission is seeking proposals for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus funding for innovative projects that will increase employment opportunities for Spanish-speaking Ohioans with disabilities.

Selected projects will consider the Ohio Hispanic culture and the aspects of the population as they relate to needed services.

Expressions of interest for funding must be submitted by June 4 at www.recovery.ohio.gov/opportunities/state/. A written proposal must be submitted by 5 p.m. the same day. A copy of the request for proposals is available at www.rsc.ohio.gov.
