Fire claims three

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (AP)

Authorities in western Pennsylvania say an Amish mother and her two young daughters have died in a fire.

The blaze was reported around 12:20 p.m. Saturday on state Route 208 near New Wilmington in Lawrence County.

Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle identified the victims as 31-year-old Katie M. Kurtz and her daughters, 3-year-old Anna L., and 8-year-old Sally L.

State police said the fire appears to be accidental.

They added that the deaths were being investigated by the coroner’s office and a state fire marshal.

Two shooting deaths

WARREN

Warren police are still investigating a report of gunshots near the area of McKinley North East around 12:19 a.m. Saturday. The officers found two male victims at 1123 McKinley. Both were dead at the scene. No further information was available Saturday night.
