Students to present opera

Youngstown State University’s Students Motivated by the Arts’ opera program will present its 10th annual opera at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., Downtown. Admission is $1.

“The Cheese Stands Alone” by John Jacobson and John Higgins and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” by Mark Schweizer will be performed.

SMARTS, an arts education partnership between YSU and the city schools, launched the opera pro-gram in 2001. Students write, compose, design, produce and perform the operas.
