Students honored at career center

Neighbors | Submitted.Students at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center took the pledge to become new members of the Honor Society.

The National Technical Honor Society at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center inducted 38 juniors and seniors into the organization during a ceremony at the career center.

The organization recognizes students for outstanding achievement in career and technical education. The society encourages higher academic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence and helps students find success in today’s highly competitive workplace.

“You’re induction today is the highest award for excellence. Students who are members of the NTHS are the most sought after employees and you are deserving of recognition today,” MCCTC Superintendent Roan Craig said.

Students who were inducted into the NTHS were Jacquelyne Hall, Daniel Walter, Bridgette Beck, Victoria Berquist, Dezirae Bires, Haley Hunter, LaKenya Hutchins, Heather Johnson, Danielle Walter and Kenneth Walter, Jayme Brown, Michelle Burns and Stacie White.
