Men’s group plans brunch for moms
New Bedford, Pa.
St. James Men’s Group will host a Mother’s Day breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the social hall state Route 422, New Bedford.
Meals will include french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with fruit and maple syrup, eggs, eggs with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, sweet rolls and beverages. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Sunny Days sale

Sunny Days Child Care Center will sponsor a rummage and bake sale and a Chinese auction from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the cafeteria of St. Rose School, 61 E. Main St.
Students receive scholarships
YOUNGSTOWN
Three Youngstown City School students were awarded scholarships at a luncheon sponsored by the Youngstown Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute April 10 at the McGuffey Center on Jacobs Road.
Dr. Wendy Webb, superintendent of Youngstown City Schools, presented the scholarships to the following:
Lestacia Scott of East High School, first place of $1,000.
Kayla Smith of Early College, second place of $750.
Jacinta Figueroa of Chaney High School, third place of $500.
The featured speaker was Michael Scarver, political action coordinator for the United Steelworkers of America.
A memorial tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Asa Philip Randolph was a highlight of the event.
Buffalo Wild Wings going wild in May
The 23 Buffalo Wild Wings locations across Northeast Ohio are participating in the “Eat Wings Make a Difference” fundraiser. For every wing sold during the month, the businesses will donate a penny per wing to Relay for Life.

Square dance workshop at church

A Plus Square Dance workshop will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, 309 N. Park Ave., with Gene Hammond, professional square dance caller, as instructor.
