The Technical Advisory Committee of Eastgate Regional Council of Governments tapped seven projects to receive funding through the transportation enhancement program. The projects:

Canfield City, Fairground Boulevard pedestrian enhancement, installation of a new sidewalk along Fairground and Hood Drive from state Route 46 to the Canfield Fairgrounds entrance. Total construction cost, $316,000; Eastgate, $252,800; local match, $63,200.

Mill Creek MetroParks, East Cohasset Drive Phase one, rehabilitation for pedestrian traffic from Parkview Drive to Ottowa Drive. Total construction cost, $313,500; Eastgate, $250,800; local, $62,700.

Lowellville, South Side pedestrian enhancement phase two, reconstruction of sidewalk along Jackson and McGaffney streets. Total construction cost, $146,000; Eastgate, $116,800; local, $29,200.

Mahoning County Engineer, Yellow Creek Enhancement, bridge rehabilitation including sidewalk, railing upgrades and lamp post lighting on Lowellville Road, Struthers. Total construction cost, $219,133; Eastgate, $240,000; and local, $60,000.

Austintown, pedestrian lighting, installation of lamp post lighting along Raccoon Road pedestrian walkway. Total construction cost, $219,294; Eastgate, $175,435; local, $43,859.

Howland, interchange enhancement, provide interchange of state Route 82 and state Route 46 with landscaping and signage. Total construction cost, $200,133; Eastgate, $160,106; local, $40,027.

Cortland, Lakeview school pedestrian enhancement, provide pedestrian facilities that access Lakeview High School and middle school. Total construction cost, $220,000; Eastgate, $176,000; local, $44,000.
