CLASSES

Chaney High School January and June classes of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Molly’s Restaurant on Salt Springs Road. All alumni are invited.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1947 willl meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946-48 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

Calon Lan Welsh Club of the WWCA will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s Restaurant, U.S. Route 224, Boardman. meals will be ordered from the menu. For reservation information, call Jane Wrench or Betty Reich.

East High School Alumni Association will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at 57 Saranac Ave.

Steel Valley K-9’s 4-H Club will meet at 6 p.m. Saturday at Becker’s Family Center, 10 Spring St., Struthers. Speakers will be Dr. Charles Sung from the Animal Care Center in Hubbard, and Sharon Stringer of the Bummer Fund. The meeting will focus on the upcoming Bummer Fund fundraiser.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Monday in the community room at 9:30 a.m. for a social followed by a program at 10 a.m. presented by Dr. Martin Abraham. The topic will be “The Environment.” Reservations are not required. New members and guests are welcome. Reservations for the June picnic luncheon will be taken at the meeting. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

St. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday with Mary Ann Cardiero presiding. Plans will be made for the installation of new members at the 10 a.m. Mass on May 16. D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, has planned the following events: Monday and Wednesday, walking at Mill Creek Park from Dr. Shah’s at 6 p.m. or biking at 6 p.m. at Kirk Road; Thursday, meeting at Disciples Christian Church at 7:30; and Friday, cheap movie at Shops at Boardman Park at 6:30. First Ohio Chapter of The Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health will sponsor “‘A Personal Story’: My Son’s Story with Autism” from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at D&E Clinic, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. Mahoning County Parkinson’s Support Group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Park Vista Retirement Community, 1310 Fifth Ave. There is free parking in back of the building. There will be speakers and low impact exercises led by therapist Nicole Ashburn. Anyone with Parkinson’s or a caregiver is invited to share coffee and dessert and experiences. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month.
