Canfield art students exhibit work

Canfield residents don’t have to travel far to see the arts.
More than 1,000 works of art will be displayed at the Canfield High School’s Student Art Show May 26 and May 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the gymnasium.
The show will celebrate all of the arts from students grades kindergarten through 12th and feature art, graphic design, engineering graphics, wood technologies and family and consumer science.
The talent of the Canfield students will be judged by local university professors and local artists May 21 and awards will be given highlighting trophy winners and best of show.
Visitors to the show will be entertained with live music and light refreshments and the event coincides with the May 27 high school concert choir.
The collection of students’ work will also be showcased at the Old North Church in Canfield May 29.
