Austintown students honored at career and technical center

Ten Austintown students were among 38 juniors and seniors recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.

Austintown students honored were Jacquelyne Hall, Daniel Walter, Bridgette Beck, Victoria Berquist, Dezirae Bires, Haley Hunter, LaKenya Hutchins, Heather Johnson, Danielle Walter and Kenneth Walter.

The organization recognizes students for outstanding achievement in career and technical education.

The society encourages higher academic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence and helps students find success in today’s highly competitive workplace.

“Your induction today is the highest award for excellence. Students who are members of the NTHS are the most sought after employees and you are deserving of recognition today,” MCCTC Superintendent Roan Craig said.
