Golub’s comedy show set for June

YOUNGSTOWN

The Three Poles Walk Into A Bar Comedy Tour, featuring Bob Golub, will come to the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St., downtown, at 8 p.m. June 5.

Tickets are $17 in advance ($20 at the door). Call (330) 744-2170 for reservations.

The evening will include comedy, music and Polish food. The comedy is not recommended for children.

Golub is a Sharon, Pa., native who recently released his film “Dodo,” a docu-comedy that focuses on his life growing up in the Shenango Valley. He is a stand-up comedian who has appeared on “The Tonight Show.”

Joining him will be comedian David Kaye (Comedy Central) and Grammy-nominated accordion player Kevin Solecki.

The Three Poles tour is the first comedy tour featuring Polish-American entertainers. Golub is filming the tour as it travels across the country. It began last month in Erie, Pa.

“There’s never been anything like this,” said Golub, who uses his Polish heritage as the core of his act. He is perhaps best-known for his cameo appearance in Martin Scorsese’s film “Goodfellas.”
