Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol are conducting saturation traffic patrols on various streets and state highways in the city through Saturday, a YPD officer said.

The unit worked on South Avenue on Tuesday afternoon and early evening.

One driver was stopped by Youngstown police and accused of failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at Parkcliffe and Idlewood avenues and was cited for that traffic violation. Police also discovered the driver’s operator’s license had been suspended and that the license plates on the vehicle were expired, according to reports.
