Search intensifies for 80-year-old Ohio woman

BELLAIRE

College students and other volunteers have joined police in searching for an 80-year-old woman missing from an Ohio retirement home since early Friday.

Investigators believe Luella Edge climbed out a window to leave the Country Club retirement center on her first night there.

Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson says Edge did not want to go to the home near Bellaire and begged people to let her stay with them instead.

Deputies have searched a wooded area near the home on horseback and using heat-sensing cameras but have found no sign of Edge.
