Pa. man gets life sentence in mother's killing

LEBANON, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania judge says a man is guilty of first-degree murder in the strangling of elderly mother last year.

A Lebanon County judge sentenced 46-year-old David Ebling, of Swatara Township, to life in prison on today.

Ebling pleaded guilty to a general charge of homicide on Monday in the death of his 71-year-old mother, Jeanette. Judge Samuel Kline decided Ebling’s actions warranted a first-degree murder conviction.

A neighbor found Jeanette Ebling strangled in the mobile home she shared with her son on June 12.
