A three-vehicle accident about 5:45 p.m. Sunday at West Boulevard and Route 22 sent two people, a passenger in one vehicle and a driver of another, to the hospital.
The fire department responded to the scene because there were injuries.
No further information was available.
Spring plant sale

The horticulture program at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, begins its 2010 spring plant sale today.
Horticulture students have prepared items including assorted annuals, hanging baskets, tomatoes and peppers. Flats of flowers also will be available.
The horticulture gift shop is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday until all items are sold.

Lane restrictions

Beginning today, Struthers-Liberty Road will have various lane restrictions in both directions from Blossom Road to Notre Dame Drive for resurfacing work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
Tod cemetery tour
Youngstown
The Mahoning and Shenango Valley Historical Club will host a tour of the historic Tod Homestead Cemetery, 2200 Belmont Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon May 15.
The tour will consist of a variety of histories of some of the families who were an important part of forming Youngstown. Some of the families are Tod, Stambaugh, Armstrong and Pettiford.
This is a handicapped- accessible event.

Tire-recycling drive

The tire-recycling drive sponsored by Youngstown Litter Control and Recycling will be May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Covelli Centre.
Passenger and some commercial-sized tires, with or without rims, will be accepted.

Flags for veterans

The George Wydell Jones Memorial Team will meet at 1 p.m. May 15 in the back of the Oak Hill Cemetery office before moving out to place flags on veterans’ graves at the cemetery.

A cultural and spiritual diversity program is set for 9:30 a.m. May 18 at Park Vista Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave.
The Rev. Oran Telford, staff chaplain at Northside Medical Center and president and chief executive officer of Youngstown Organization of Protestant Men, will explain how religion and culture form beliefs about diet, healing practices and issues surrounding life and death.
The public is invited, and a light breakfast will be served.
