MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, May 5: Meatball splash, seasoned potatoes, buttered peas, unsweetened peaches, chocolate chip cookie (Lorna Doones available) and milk.

Thursday, May 6: Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat bread with margarine, fruit salad (unsweetened available) and milk.

Friday, May 7: Macaroni and cheese, carrots, unsweetened cinnamon applesauce, rye bread with margarine, pineapple tidbits and milk.

Saturday, May 8: Cold cuts on a bun with mustard and mayonnaise, unsweetened mixed fruit, carrots with ranch dressing, fruit juice and milk.

Monday, May 10: Vegetable lasagna, glazed carrots, peas, Italian bread with margarine, diced peaches (unsweetened available) and milk.

Tuesday, May 11: Sausage with peppers and onions on a bun, potato spudsters, diced pears (unsweetened available) and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.
