Ursuline 10, South Range 8

Struthers

Dominic Gore went 3 for 3 and drove in three RBIs to lead Ursuline (10-12) to a come from behind win against South Range (14-4). Paul Pegues had two hits, including a double for Ursuline, while Anthony Rohan had a triple. Phil Arsuffi went 4 for 4 with a double and a triple, while John Deamicus also doubled for South Range.

Champion 11-2, Lakeview 6-12

CORTLAND

In the opener, Champion’s scoring in a seven-run third inning was aided by Lakeview errors. For Champion, Shane Brown went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, while Dominic DeMartini and Greg Culp were 2-for-4 with two RBIs. For Lakeview, A.J. Hrusovsky went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Kevin Arnold was 3-for-4 with two doubles, Darrell Brammer had three hits and Darrin Hamilton had two singles. The second game ended in the bottom of the fifth when Lakeview scored three times. Logan Massacci’s single up the middle knocked in Shane O’Conner with two outs. Massacci finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Hamilton and O’Conner had three hits and two RBIs apiece and Anthony Franco had two hits and two RBIs for Lakeview (5-14). Senior John Patterson (2-0) pitched the six-hitter. Kyle Skaggs had two hits and an RBI for Champion.

Columbiana 3-10, Fitch 0-3

COLUMBIANA

In the opener at Firestone Park, Hank Schlueter had a three-hitter and struck out six. Luke Barker had two RBIs for Columbiana, while Chris Miller had two hits for Fitch. In the second game, Jeff Davidson’s three-run homer in the fifth inning snapped a 3-3 tie. Davidson finished with two hits and three RBIs, Hank Schlueter had two doubles and knocked in two runs, Josh Saverko had two hits including a double, Tyler Denmeade had two hits and Jay Williamson doubled for the Clippers (12-9). Saverko (3-2) got the win. Ralph Testa had two hits for the Falcons (4-14).

Mooney 13,

St. Thomas Aquinas 5

LOUISVILLE

Pat Markovich, Ed Reese and Dan Daugherty all went 2-for-4, while Boo Vazquez had a hit and three RBIs. Markovich accounted for two RBIs. Dante Lewis and Mark Warchol also had a double apiece for Mooney.

Louisville 6, Mooney 4

LOUISVILLE

Boo Vazquez had two home runs and knocked in three runs, while Pat Markovich and Mark Warchol both had a double for Mooney (15-5).

United 25-21,

Jackson-Milton 18-7

NORTH JACKSON

In the opener, Miller had three hits and three RBIs, Crocr had a home run and five RBIs and Sneltzer had a triple and double and three RBIs for United (6-13). For Jackson-Milton, John Gherardi had six RBIs via 5-for-5 including a grand slam and Josh Krammer went 4-for-4 for five RBIs. In United’s 21-7 win, Miller had four hits including a home run and triple, while Snitzer went 4-for-4 with four RBIs. For Jackson-Milton (6-15), Gherardi had two singles and two RBIs, Ryan Nagy had a home run and Zach Nagy had two doubles.

Lakeview 12, Struthers 10

STRUTHERS

Junior Josh Pryor (2-2) had 13 strikeouts after relieving Darrell Brammer in the first inning for Lakeview on Friday. A.J. Hrusovsky went 4-for-4 with six RBIs, Brammer was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Justin Misterka went 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Lakeview.
