Poetry captures universal theme

Jeanne Bryner, nurse and writer, has released a book of poetry about four generations of women in her Appalachian family.

The book, “No Matter How Many Windows,” is a story about struggle, survival and displacement, which are universal themes of humanity.

The author has been scheduled to present readings and signings of her work at Borders Book Store in Niles on Saturday and at Barnes & Noble Book Store in Boardman at 6 p.m. May 12.

Also ordered in for the Barnes & Noble signings will be her two anthologies, “A Call to Nursing” and “When Chicken Soup Isn’t Enough: Nurses Standing Up for Themselves, Their Patients and Their Profession.”
