“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday, WFMJ Channel 21): The Youngstown-Warren Black Nurses Association will celebrate Nurses’ Week with a scholarship brunch next Saturday at the Brentford House in Hubbard. Pat Phillips and Lynn Veal will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the programming, “Are You in Check?” which informs of various important routine checks such as blood glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol.

Next, Angels of Easter Seals Betty Cmil and Phyllis Bacon will discuss the Easter Seals 33rd annual Spring Fashion Show that will be Thursday at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. A minifashion show will showcase fashions from Coldwater Creek, Dillard’s and designer Nannette Lepore.
