Benefit auction is joint endeavor

GREENVILLE, Pa.

United Way of Mercer County and Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce jointly host for the 11th time a benefit auction and dinner Friday at the Howard Miller Center at Thiel College.

Bids will be accepted on a wide variety of items during live, silent and Chinese auctions.

Individual tickets or tickets for tables of eight can be purchased by calling the Chamber of Commerce at (724) 588-7150 or the United Way at (724) 981-1884.

Men’s Garden Club will have plant sale

YOUNGSTOWN

An annual plant sale will be conducted by the Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 14, 15 and 16 at the MASCO Greenhouse on South Avenue.

Available will be a variety of tomato and pepper plants, herbs, flowers and hanging baskets.

Park Vista breakfast group to meet

YOUNGSTOWN

Park Vista Breakfast Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. May 13 at the Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave.

The featured speaker will be Todd Franko, editor of The Vindicator, who will speak about the changes in the daily newspaper.

The free continental breakfast and informative program are open to the public.
