HERMITAGE, pa.
Living Word Church, 1109 East St., will celebrate its 13th anniversary at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.
Bishop Martha Sanders, pastor of The Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, will be the guest speaker and will be accompanied by her praise team and the congregation.
A dinner will be immediately after the service.

The Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., and Queen of the Holy Rosary Prayer Group will have a Rosary Cenacle at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Shrine.
Refreshments will follow in the social hall.
Prayer service
Girard
A National Day of Prayer service will be at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., across from the post office, at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Girard Mayor James Melfi has issued a proclamation and will be a guest speaker.
Other speakers will include Joseph Jeswalk, superintendent of Girard City Schools; Dr. Randy DelBene, Pastor Betsy Schenk, Karen Brown, Rev. Erica Brown and Major Richard L. Basting from the Youngstown-Warren Air Reserve Station.
St. Rose Pack 40 Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will also participate.
Devotional service
Youngstown
The Diocese of Youngstown will have a devotional service to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in two locations in the diocese.
Most Rev. George V. Murry, S.J., bishop of Youngstown, will preside at the Night to Honor Mary at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Columba Cathedral and at 7 p.m. May 14 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Canton.
All are welcome at the services, which will include Scripture readings, a homily, hymns and recitation of the rosary.
89th anniversary
Youngstown
Bethel Church of God in Christ, 3147 Glenwood Ave., will have its 89th church anniversary and homecoming celebration Friday through Sunday.
At 7 p.m. Friday Bishop Edward T. Cook, Jurisdictional Prelate of the Ohio North First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, will be the speaker.
A musical celebration will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Pastor Sabrina Ellis, Pentecostal United Church of Christ, Cleveland, will be the speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Feast of Salads
Youngstown
The Family Worship Center is sponsoring a Feast of Salads at 2 p.m. May 15 at Quality Inn, 4055 Belmont Ave. Cost is $10. The guest speaker will be Minister Cynthia Wright-Palmer, Elizabeth Baptist Missionary Church, whose topic wil be “Feasting on Jesus ... Now Let’s Eat.”

Rummage sale
VIENNA
The Women’s Guild of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, will have a rummage sale from noon to 6 p.m. May 15 and 10 a.m. to noon May 16. At 3 p.m. Saturday all merchandise will be half price and on Sunday, make an offer. Along with clothing, there will be household items, crafts, bedding, toys and games, jewelry and more. All clothing will be sold for $2 per grocery bag with a sale price of $1 on Sunday. Some items, such as coats, will be pre-priced.
There will also be a bake sale, free parking and free admission. Food will also be on sale for a light lunch.

Mount Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave., 90th Anniversary Committee will present “Songs Momma Loved,” a Gospel musical to honor all mothers, at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. Jack W. Pettis is the host pastor.

The Society of St. John Chrysostom, Youngstown-Warren Chapter, will present “Holy Scripture and He Descended Into Hell,” a talk by the very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachovsky, pastor of St. Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, Warren, and Scripture instructor at Christ the Saviour Seminary, Johnstown, at 6 p.m. May 12 at St. Mark Antiochian Orthodox Church, 3506 Logan Way.
There is no cost and the public is welcome.
The Society of St. John Chrysostom is an ecumenical organization of Catholic and Orthodox clergy and laity, working to make known the history, worship, spirituality, discipline and theology of Eastern Christendom, and for the fullness of unity desired by Jesus Christ.
Sue Dodge concert

Chestnut Ridge Church of God, 7215 Chestnut Ridge, with Pastor Rob McFarland, will present Sue Dodge, four-time Dove Award winner for Best Female Vocalist at 6 p.m. May 16.
Dodge has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and for four decades has been singing gospel music.
Her radio and television appearances include “In Touch” with Charles Stanley, “The 700 Club” and TBN, and every week she can be found on the “Gaither Homecoming Series” program.
Doors will open at 5 p.m.
Seating is limited to 340.
