DJ Mick Boogie will return to Downtown 36 Saturday for a show that will benefit Justin Schenker, a Canfield teen who has non-Hodgkins lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherepy. Admission to this 18-and-older event is $5. Doors open at 9 p.m. Mick Boogie, a Poland native who has gone on to national fame, is Schenker’s uncle. Downtown 36 is at 36 W. The ROCcK Choir, a local group comprised of children who have been touched by cancer, will perform at the Verizon Store, 4774 Mahoning Ave. (across from Marc’s) at 1 p.m. April 17. Verizon is raising money for the choir to travel to children hospitals in Indiana. Verizion is also selling “Helping Hands” in multiple colors to support the ROCcK Choir.
