Scholarships available for 7th Ward students

YOUNGSTOWN

The 7th Ward Citizens Coalition has a $500 scholarship available for a graduating high school senior, and Councilman John R. Swierz has a $200 scholarship available to a graduating high school senior.

To be eligible for either scholarship, the student must live in the ward, have a 2.5 or above grade point average and will attend college in the fall semester.

To apply for a scholarship, the student should obtain an application from the high school counselor or call (330) 782-5287.

The deadline for applying for a scholarship is May 15.
