DJ Mick Boogie at Downtown 36

DJ Mick Boogie will return to Downtown 36 on Saturday for a show that will benefit Justin Schenker, a Canfield teen who has non-Hodgkins lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherepy. Admission to this 18-and-older event is $5. Doors open at 9 p.m. Mick Boogie, a Poland native who has gone on to national fame, is Schenker’s uncle. Downtown 36 is at 36 W. ROCck Choir to perform at store

The ROCcK Choir, a local group comprised of children who have been touched by cancer, will perform at the Verizon Store, 4774 Mahoning Ave. (across from Marc’s) at 1 p.m. April 17. Verizon is raising money for the choir to travel to children’s hospitals in Indiana. Verizion is also selling “Helping Hands” in multiple colors to support the ROCcK Choir. ‘Time of My Life’ at Pittsburgh Public

“Time of My Life” takes place in the restaurant Essa de Calvi, where its owner and four waiters share an amazing family resemblance (they are all played by Tom Beckett). It begins at a birthday party for Laura, who is celebrating with her husband, Gerry, their son Glyn and his wife, Stephanie, and their other son Adam and his girlfriend Maureen. The story follows Glyn and Stephanie into the future and Adam and Maureen into the past, while Gerry and Laura stay in the present.
